Participants' Fundraising Story

Team No. 007, "R134 united"
We held a "Job Well Done" party @TEACALL.
Everybody in our team including the support crew, several supporters, volunteers from CP4, the students who helped us stretch at CP7 last year, and Trailwalker staff joined our party.
We displayed our photos for all to see, relived all the trials and tribulations of the event and told our personal stories, whilst wondering what will happen next year.
Seriously, what will happen next year?
We'll definitely try to make more of an effort with our fundraising next time.

Team No. 142 "RBS~ (nyoro)"
Here's a list of our fundraising activities:
1. We roamed through the office with a donation box and posters.
2. We sold 30 homemade lasagnas made by the Italian mother of a colleague. The authentic Italian taste was prized and they sold very quicky!
3. We held a Salsa party fundraiser at a friend’s club. It was a great success with more than 50 people attending for the dance performances and some more homemade cooking.
4. We had ongoing fundraising activities such as putting a donation box in the store of one team member's parents' home back in Hokkaido!

So we enjoyed fundraising and found the experience really fulfilling. To thank all our supporters and sponsors, we sent handmade cookies made by our support crew along with a Thank you card and our Trailwalker completion report!

Team No. 164 "Stroll in the Park"

Weds 14th April, Hobgoblin, Shibuya

Team 'Stroll in the Park' took to the task of raising their sponsorship funds by testing the minds of some of the finest individuals within the Tokyo ex-pat/local scene.
Friends, colleagues, team mates, discarded contacts still tucked away in obscure email folders were called up, herded into teams of 4 (or 5,6) and quizzed for an hour and a half.

Questions were devised and formatted by 'Stroll in the Park' team members Colin, Pete, support crew Cynthia with Niall and Will chief question judges, prize finders and operating managers.
Will took on the roll as master MC, firing questions and whipping the crowd up into a money splashing frenzy with an awesome display of auctioneering.
What was on offer? The chance to deface the team t-shirts and make a statement.
A worryingly over popular prize!

With the help of a few pub regulars, a shout out by the landlord on the website and a few last minute sign ups, 10 teams were arranged on the night.
Questions ranged from the origins of Oxfam to Pulitzer prize winners to world Geography and the Tour de France.
An array of subjects were covered, a vast amount of alcohol was consumed, and a fun time had by all!
The money raised on the night contributed to the team's total of 339,183 yen!
