To Oxfam Trailwalker Japan 2011 participants and to those concerned

Oxfam Japan has been monitoring the situation surrounding the recent earthquake and subsequent tsunami and crisis at the nuclear power plants. We have been in communication with all concerned parties at the Oxfam Japan Trailwalker Japan 2011 event site and as well as disaster risk management specialists. All courses have also been inspected and deemed safe. At this time, Oxfam Japan believes that all walkers and volunteers will be able to participate safely.

We strongly believe that holding this event will give us the opportunity to stand together and honor those who lost their lives in this unprecedented disaster and others in devastating situations around the world.

Due to the ongoing nature of this crisis, we will explain the situation on 15th April in regards to the situation on/around the course.
